Original 24" x 30", stretch canvas, completed 5/21/09. My first fox painting in 8 years, and my largest fox painting so far! The first in a planned series of new fox paintings, this painting is based on a photo of one of the residents of Foxwood Wildlife Rescue. Thank you to Elise Able of Foxwood Wildlife Rescue for allowing me to use the photo for reference! This painting won a first prize at the 2009 Erie County Fair!

Heather Looking Right 2009
Original 24" x 30", oil on stretch canvas, completed 8/13/09. A remake of my 2000 painting, "Heather Looking Right". The third in my new series of fox paintings. I ran into a lot of problems with the second fox painting, which remains only half finished, and I moved on to this one. I don't think it turned out quite as good as "Red Fox - Sitting in the Sun", but it's definitely a lot better than my 2000 painting from the same photo! I will likely return to the second fox painting and finish it someday in the future, but for now I'm back to doing some new birds of prey paintings.
